Improving Scientific Communication: Key Insights from a Practical Workshop at the University of Navarra

Last week, the Biotechnology and Business Club of the University of Navarra hosted the workshop “How to Communicate Science,” a hands-on session focused on improving the way scientific results are conveyed. Led by Carlos Luri Rey, postdoctoral researcher at CIMA and Creative Director at SCINERGICS, we explored a key challenge in the scientific field: it is not enough to obtain good results; it is also essential to know how to communicate them clearly and effectively.

During the session, we worked on essential aspects such as the structure of a scientific presentation, slide design, and the improvement of graphs and figures to make them more understandable and impactful. We also shared resources and best practices applicable to coursework, final degree projects, conferences, and future academic presentations.

Initiatives like this reinforce the importance of scientific communication as a fundamental skill in the education of science students. At SCINERGICS, we would like to thank the Biotechnology and Business Club for organizing and inviting us, as well as all participants for their interest in continuing to improve the way science is communicated.
